Through trial an error I have developed numerous techniques to attach leaves and petals to rocks & pebbles whilst preserving their delicate, fragile quality.
I also have skeleton leaves, and pressed leaves & petals, some of which can be tinted with pearl, colour or gold to great effect.
Once you have the techniques under your belt you can complete as many stones as you wish and may also choose to ornament a small box, which I will provide.
Calligraphy. We devote a short time on this workshop maximising the potential of your natural handwriting.
I have books of quotes and phrases grouped by theme. e.g. Trees, Leaves, Flowers, Nature, Inspiration, Family & Friends etc.

If you take this course in conjunction with others of mine you can combine the techniques learnt in the different workshops with limitless permutations!…

What’s included?
Use of all tools and materials
A Handout with step by step instructions and list of materials and suppliers where possible.
As many beautiful large flat white pebbles (as pictured) as you need
Ditto as many leaves and petals as you like. (See pictures). Season permitting we might use fresh leaves/petals.
A range of acrylic paints, and Peal-Ex interference colours + gold to tint dried leaves and petals.
A small wooden box
Varnish
Staedtler Super Fine black permanent pens
Pencils and latex free erasers
Brushes
Dehydrator
Use of books with themed quotes and phrases for reference.

What should I bring?
Nothing, unless you would like to bring your favourite quotes to write on your finished pieces.
You might also be interested in working with other small objects from your home, anything that leaves & petals might enhance. If it’s suitable for the addition of varnish, e.g. a wooden bookend, then it will work. Please feel free to call and ask me about the suitability of any item. 07722 997719
